A training facility where K-12, technical college, and university students explore careers in television, management, and graphic design. 3. A gathering place for residents, seniors and youth to do creative work and community service. 4. An economic development tool that promotes local businesses through low-cost underwriting and advertising opportunities. 5. A no-cost medium used by non-profits to promote issues, local events and volunteerism. 6. A way for churches to reach shut-ins. 7. A public forum. 8. A provider of long-term local employment in technical fields. 9. A mechanism to promote open government, community pride, and heightened awareness of issues. 10. A local communications resource that serves all these purposes with volunteers, modest equipment, small budgets, short timeframes and financial support from cable subscribers and cities.

About Save Access TV Wisconsin

We are WAPC, the Wisconsin Association of PEG (Public, Educational, and Government) Channels, a membership organization of 61 PEG access stations. WAPC is registered as a 501C6 non-profit organization.

WAPC was founded in 1998 by access television professionals to provide networking and resources that support and promote Wisconsins diverse PEG access community. More than 200 local teleivison channels serve communities throughout the state. Some channels are managed by city government, some are managed by school districts and colleges, and others are managed by independent non-profit organizations.
